Tonight we went to Walmart. Here it is a full-meal experience. Every young child is given brotchen and leberwurst. They also all got a pear flavored ice cream cone, sausage, cereal, and various breads with toppings.
Things that are (nearly) impossible to find in Germany:
-Cheddar cheese
-Chocolate chips
-Brown sugar
-Maple syrup
-Pop-tarts
-Oreo cookies
-Good instant brownie mix
-Bargain books (It is not legal to have book sales here unless the books are used. The same book will be the same price no matter where you go. I think that this is good for book companies and not so good for consumers.)
Things Germans have that I did not expect:
-A full line of Weight Watchers products
-Every type of Kellogs cereal
-Hot Wheels
-Legos (they have really cool specialty stores for them here)

Hallöchen Brandi!
What on earth do you mean? With the notable exception of pop tarts you can get ALL of those things in a German WalMart (American food aisle). At least you can in ours here in Dortmund. If you have problems finding them down in Köln, shoot me an Email an I'll get them to you! Viele Grüße an den Rhein von Silja.
