Before church we visited some of Heike`s old college friends. The collection of ivory tower mathematicians (Heike has a math degree) met in a large country home. The table was decked with fine china and homemade cakes and pastries. Kaffee Trinken is apparently an affair taken seriously here. Everything was beautiful and delicious.
I primarily spoke with a man who is the chair of the Mathematics department at a large German University. We spoke about everything from the role of the US in the world to chaos theory and the limitations of data gathered from wind tunnels in creating better profile theory for vehicles. He was very interesting and I had a lot of fun.
