A full day

Yesterday I left for school in the morning and did not return home until nearly midnight (and then stayed up calling people in the States).

After school I spent time with classmates, and then went to take a nap on the grass in front of the University Mensa (cafeteria). I woke to find a student sitting on the grass next to me. We ended up having a conversaton for about two hours (all in German!. with me saying things in a format resembling Tarzan-speak ie. ''me want food''). The range of subject matter was necessarily limited, but we still had a good time. He invited me to have coffee with him and we talked about music, politics, differences between US and German transportation, and a little bit about church.

From 6-7:45 we had English conversation at the Shamrock. Several regulars were ill or on holiday, so there were fewer people than normal. There were also only three of us at Bible study. Despite the low turnout, it was the most encouraging week so far. We spoke in English because for 2 out of 3 that was the easier language. We shared our testimonies and talked about why we share our faith. We also spoke a lot about the freedom that comes with our acceptance of Christ.

Cool God thing: I randomly packed ''The Purpose Driven Life'' when I came here. At school I was holding it as a Korean student walked past. She stopped and exclaimed that she had the same book in Korean. She is just starting it, and wants to get together to talk about it. I don't think that she is Christian, so it should be an interesting time.
