Mood: Peaceful, expectant
Stage notes: Internet cafe on Zülpicher Strasse. Everyone seems to smoke here, and my hair/clothes seem to always have that 'bar smell' :(
Sorry that I haven't blogged the last couple of days. It's the result of having a very good week though.
On Friday a student asked to go shopping with me. Over ice cream we shared our lives with one another. She has lived across the globe and has depth of knowledge in subject areas that I have never even considered. She asked me to share the story of how I had become a Christian, and I was given the opportunity to share the gospel. I do not know what God is doing in her life, but my testimony caused her to cry, and what was supposed to be a one hour meeting lasted nearly seven. She asked me to attend an English language mass with her Saturday night so that I could understand her background better, and I am looking forward to the chance to increase my understanding of her blend of spirituality. Out of respect, there are a lot of things that I cannot share (I have only given my blog address to Americans and the pastor here, but you never know who will read this someday). Suffice to say, I have really enjoyed getting to know her, and she has a lot of great stories.
One additional thing that I thought was cool. I randomly ran into the Turkish woman that I met at Conversation group this week. She spotted me as I was walking to the Dom with an acquaintance and ran over.

I'm so excited to hear about all the cool stuff God is doing there! You have so many adventures.
So I've been meaning to leave a comment here for a while and mention that I'd heard that Jews for Jesus will be doing a big outreach in Berlin in August... so you might hear about that when it happens... they tend to be considered controversial... they might even provide some interesting conversation matter.
thanks for the tip.
