Ukraine Snapshots

Some of the 10 children from a family that welcomed me into their home in Balaklia. The mother was a great cook and Sally and I enjoyed lots of good food together before being asked, yet again, to sing English songs. The only less than hospitable member of the family was the dog, whose gift to me was a scar on my arm where he bit me.

Continuing rumblings from the "Orange Revolution" were apparent everywhere in anticipation of upcoming elections. St. Sophia (green domes) can be seen in the background.
