Prayer Requests

Mood: sleepy
Stage notes: Heike is reading a book to Johanna who is sitting next to a puppet as large as she is!

-We are hoping to be able to use the back of a Kiosk (~convenience store) to have German-language Bible studies in the new school term. Please pray that the space would be opened to us and that our advertizing for this time would be effective.
-I need to go to the visa office again this week. Please pray that I would be able to meet with a kind officer who is willing to speak English and help me understand the legal requirements here.
-Tomorrow I am meeting with Daniel and Martin to talk about the financial possibility of staying in Germany. Pray that we would be led by God in this and plan within His will.
-I expect to apply for a new apartment on Friday. This is significantly more complicated here than in the States. Pray that I will be able to gather all of the correct paperwork, that the apartment I want will remain unoccupied, and that my application will be accepted.
-There are several other (very) small missionary groups working in Köln. Please pray that we would be united in our vision to reach the people here with the good news of Christ and that we would support one another in love.

Thanks for all of your prayers. I really appreciate knowing how faithful so many people are in presenting my needs before God and thinking of the Bonnets and myself.

P.S--I recently prayed that I might be able to get a simple cross necklace. I looked at several, but was not willing to spend the money for them. Last night I had dinner with several aquaintances here. Sigrun, a woman I have begun to regularly spend time with, gave me a handmade cross necklace crafted from woven leather. She lives in Ethiopia for part of the year and purchased it from a man there. A small thing perhaps, but still, it was encouraging to me.

I understand what you mean about the cross necklace. I was given one as a going away gift, and it's been a symbol to me while I'm here of both God's love and the love of others, since it was a gift. It's also a silent witness when I'm not able to always share my faith openly.
