Stage notes: stack of German homework beckons, German news on TV
Sunday I went to Rhinepark with the Bonnets. This is another place that I sometimes visit to spend time with God. It is more difficult to find quiet places in such a large city, and I am always in search of them. The need for places to be alone has been heightened for me here because I am spending so much intense time with others. Rhinepark has a lot of green space punctuated with playgrounds for children. Two highlights are a miniature train that takes children around the park and gondolas that travel 935m across the Rhine.

For much of the summer groups of students from Texas have been coming here for a week long LT-type program. They were also helping out Jeff and Pam Simmons, long-term missionaries here. The last of the students are leaving this Tuesday, so we had a farewell party for them at the Simmon's place. Their departure also means that the bi-weekly Saturday night house church at the Bonnets will be back down to the Simmons, Goering, and Bonnet families (the students had been coming as well). I think that it may also switch back to being German language now.
