Stage notes: just arrived at school, everyone is scrambling to study for tomorrow`s exam

So the German school breaks officially ended yesterday. The buses which had been nearly deserted since I arrived were standing room only. I haven`t asked, but I am assuming that the kids all take public transportation here (they miss out on those great yellow school buses).

I also ran into my first neo-Nazi. He was in his late thirties, and was pacing around the U-bahn station as though he wanted to pick a fight. His black boots and cropped hair looked the part, but his persistent Nazi salutes were what gave him away. Although apart from the saluting he seemed fairly normal, I wonder if he had a mental illness. I don`t think that kind of behavior is something that is done lightly here. A few people walked away, but most just pointedly ignored him until he got on the train.
