Mood: feels like freedom
Stage notes: a cold and rainy day, Dave Matthews playing
On Sunday I passed up an invitation to go on a Rhine river cruise to attend church with the Bonnets in Dusseldorf. It was well worth it. Usually the Bonnets go to Dortmund, but this week the Düsseldorf Church asked Martin to teach on the end verses of James (here it is called Jakobus-Brief). After the service we visited a family from the church there. Combined with Dominic (a friend of the Bonnets who is staying with us this week), 13 of us shared a meal. The family invited me to visit them some weekend, and I think that it will be nice to take them up on their offer. Later that night we played a German card game that is new to me called Doppelkopf. It was a bit intimidating at first, but overall very fun.
Prayer requests: Although I really appreciate living with the Bonnets (In the past I´ve prayed for the opportunity to live with a family), I want to give them back their privacy and space, so it would be nice to find an apartment quickly. This week I will try again for a visa. Please pray that I would have wisdom on how to interact with the officials. Also, please continue to pray that the women I have been interacting with would be open to God`s influence in their lives.

Doppelkopf is a cool game. What tend to be the house rules in Germany - or at least the group that taught you?
