Hodgepodge

Mood: TIRED, happy, wanting to find a quiet place to be with God
Stage notes: German reality TV playing

Today I received an e-mail from one of the women I met while the team was here last week. She invited me to go swimming with her either tomorrow or Thursday. I also got an invitation to go shopping with an Israli woman who is in my class at CDC. She seems to have a good sense of style, and I think that we will enjoy our time together.

I really need to spend more time on my studies, but tonight I ended up taking yet another 'short' break to get Spagetti Eis with Heike. It is vanilla ice cream formed into noodles, covered with strawberry syrup, and sprinkled with shaved white chocolate. It's offered in nearly every Eis shop here, and is very good.

My allergies have been acting up, and so I took a Benadryl this morning so that I would not be blowing my nose throughout class. Too bad it nearly made me fall asleep which was even more embarrasing. Let's hope tomorrow is a little easier.

P.S-Johnathan came home today. We had dinner with the in-laws. They seemed nice, but our ability to communicate was limited. The main quote I remember is, 'now you have 3 babies in the family' (Myself being the third one). The Bonnets are taking bets on who will learn to read first, me or Johnathan who is beginning 1st grade in about a month.

Prayer requests: I am going to apply for my visa on Thursday morning. Please pray that the process goes smoothly and my application is accepted. That my allergies would not get in the way of relationships too much, that I would be bold in starting spiritual conversations where appropriate, and that I will find ways to be an encouragement to the Bonnets.

My bet is that you'll beat Johnathan...or, at least that you'll be reading upper-level material before he will. :)

It's definitely great to hear about all the opportunities and interactions with people you've had. I'll be praying for you and look for an e-mail from me soon. Take care!
