Hi everyone,

I'm guessing that if you are reading this you probably received an e-mail from me recently announcing that I was starting a blog. For those of you who haven't heard, I will to be in Germany from the end of June to mid-December assuming I don't have any problems getting a visa. I expect to be studying German about 25 hours/week at the CDC language school in Cologne. During the rest of my time I hope to build relationships with the Bonnets (a German family loosely connected to my church in Michigan) and with other students that I meet in the city. I'm hoping that this will be a good way to keep in contact with everyone. I'm afraid that I'm not much of a writer these days, but I hope that you guys will keep me accountable for posting regularly. Enjoy.

Germany note: There is an approved list of names for children in Germany. You have to pick something on it for your baby and the name must make the child's sex clear.
