Noise: Everyone in the background watching the game.
For the next four weeks the world will be watching Germany as we host the Soccer World Cup games. Every bar is filled to bursting and I expect that it will be a great time to meet new people and have fun with the regulars.
Culture Note: Germans tend to be wary of anything that smacks of nationalism. As a result it is rare to see a German flag being displayed by private citizens. In response to the World Cup, however, this has dramatically changed. German colors are everywhere. I think that it's good to see.
