Mood: Expectant (I'm picking up the MSU team from the airport in 10 hours!)
Noise: Rachanee's Here with Me
Over the past several months I have been compiling a list of organizations that are working to improve people's lives in various areas. Although I did not set out with the goal of tracking down Christian organizations, I have found that many of the most lasting and effective groups were founded with the Christian message at their core. You can find some of my favorites on the right hand side of this page under the title ''Make a Difference''. In each case I've linked to a page with practical suggestions for how we can actively engage with our world to improve people's lives.
Recently I was surfing for environmental organizations that combine strong theology with practial action. If you have any suggestions of where I might find groups that fit the bill, I would appreciate it. For the moment, here are a few sites that I have put on my ''to read someday'' list.

:) I like the "Make a Difference" section. Very cool.
I remember Target Earth from Urbana. I had a friend who was working their table, and she gave me a bumper sticker with the slogan "God's original plan was to hang out in a garden with a bunch of naked vegetarians" (illustrated, of course).
I never put it on my car, though, not being a vegetarian and not thinking folks would take Eve's naked breasts very well. I have it around here somewhere...
Have a great time with the Germany team! I'll try to send an email soon to help clog your box a little more. = )
