What I'm Reading: 1984 by George Orwell (one of the defining books of my childhood)
A friend from English group joined Martin, Jeff, and I at a ''friendly'' soccer match between Germany and the States this Wednesday.
Somewhere around 65,000 (mostly German) spectators, chanting taunts and expressions of solidarity, also joined us. In my opinion, German is a good language for intimidating opponents at a sporting event :).
As you can see, it wasn't the best game the States has ever played. It was my first live professional soccer match though, and I had a good time.

Looks like fun! Did you provoke any rioting after the game? :)
