Mood: like a mermaid
What I'm Reading: bouncing through the Bible
I unearthed a treasure trove of 1 Euro stores after school on Thursday. 5 of my classmates and I went to Venloer Strasse. Little did I know that it is chock full of cheap stores (the quality is crap, but who needs the best quality garbage bags anyways?) I will definitely wander here again. Later that night 10 of us got together at the Uni Mensa to practice English. These days I feel like I need as much practice as the international students do!
In the wee hours of this morning, I finished painting my apartment. Just as I was finishing up, the former occupant of my apartment stopped by. Since she lives in Madrid now, it was quite an unexpected and very nice visit. After talking with her, I went swimming with my friend Tanya. We went to Agrippabad, and it was just as nice the second time around.
Who would be
A mermaid fair,
Singing alone,
Combing her hair
Under the sea,
In a golden curl
With a comb of pearl,
On a throne?
I would be a mermaid fair;
I would sing to myself the whole of the day;
With a comb of pearl I would comb my hair;
And still as I comb I would sing and say,
"Who is it loves me? who loves not me?"
- Lord Alfred Tennyson, The Mermaid
