What I'm reading: Soul Survivor by Phillip Yancy
In honor of the fact that I was able to bring back a full suitcase worth of books from the States, you'll notice that I have changed my ''Stage notes'' category. What I'm reading is more reflective of what's going on with me anyways. It seems a bit silly, but having books to read in English is a really big thing for me. Although I do not have as much time as I would like to read, just having the option of doing so as I am on the train each day is an encouragement.
Last night after house church at the Bonnets I went back to Dortmund with the Goerings. I visited their version of English club. We played Outburst in German and then watched Luther. It was a good time.
Prayer request:
-Thomas Lobe is a brother from the Dortmund church. He is hoping to get a job in Köln. I think that he would be a great addition to the team here, so please pray that his interview at the University (this Friday morning) will go well.
-We are considering starting a discussion forum on CSK's website. Please pray for wisdom in selecting topics, help on the technical aspects of getting it set up, the decision of whether to have it in English or German, and how to get a core group to frequent it and guide the discussions in productive ways.
-There are several people who have been e-mailing each week that they would like to visit English conversation and asking for directions, but then they do not come. It would be great if they were able to find their way to us.
