The Dortmund church got together today for Christmas dinner. We met at a Yugoslavian restaurant in Hagen. 70-100 of us sat around a single long table laden with evergreen branches and candles. The food was plentiful and excellent. Each person was given a plate with about 5 types of meat, rice, potatoes, and salad.
We are thinking of going to an American style restaurant with English club. They offer a free meal if you are able to eat a 2 kilo steak and 2 side dishes. I think that dinner today was good practice. Unfortunately I was not up to the challenge and left quite a bit on my plate.
By the way, I will be heading back to the States this Thursday. I'm looking forward to seeing people. I'm also beginning to dream about Taco Bell, cheddar cheese, bacon, and the possibility of 24 hour grocery shopping. I love living in the city, but being in a smaller place like East Lansing for a few days is going to be a nice change.

How long will you be in town and how can I make sure you get the package I've been holding for you since July? I'm leaving Saturday with a group from Riverview going down to New Orleans for a week. If I leave it at the church, will you get it?
