Stage notes: babysitting. Pia is making gleeful noises as she plays in her room.
I had expected to get some good time to talk about God with one of my classmates who went to Paris with me. We didn't really talk with much depth, however. I think they were too focused on collecting photos of all the tourist spots to really see or hear anything that was going on around them (including all of the wonderful things there were to experience in Paris). I did have a really good conversation with an Iranian businessman on the bus. He showed me lots of pictures of his family and told me how they were all doing (in detail!). We spoke about God, politics, and what was important to us. I was even able to share some of the story of how I became a christian. Before we both drifted into sleep he invited me to visit his family in Iran and offered me all of his contact information.
Oh yeah, Paris was also very nice. I visited the Louvre (most people know it because of the Mona Lisa, but there were many parts of it that I liked better), Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, Paris City Hall, the Pantheon, and the Hotel de Ville among other things. There were Mongolian Tuvan throat-singers, violinists, and jazz bands in the streets. The weather was lovely and we did not have to stand in any lines. Best of all, because it was ''Heritage Days'' weekend there were no entrance fees except to the Louvre and guided tours were offered almost everywhere.

Sounds awesome! (I confess, I'm a wee bit jealous, but I'm off to Europe in less than two weeks myself...)
I also love that you described Pia as "gleeful". :)
