Stage notes: praying in the back of my mind for a friend who is in an auto race right now
Today I went to a coal mining museum in Bochum with the Bonnets. Martin's father was a miner, so the place holds special importance for him. It was a really well done exhibit. They had fully reproduced a mine with the machines used throughout the history of the industry. In one place you could even try out a jackhammer. There were also extensive exhibits showing the lives of miners in other countries and times, mining in art, the saint of mining, ect. The museum could easily have been split into 2 good ones. BTW-''Glück Auf'' is how German miners greet one another. It roughly means, ''I hope you come back up [from the mines].''
